Andropogon gerardii - Big Bluestem
Perennial, clump-forming warm-season grass that grows 3-8 feet tall. Grows in full sun and medium to slightly dry soils. Provides structure for other plants in a planting and visual interest particularly in the fall and winter. Seeds are eaten by a variety of songbirds and is a host plant for skippers.
