Liatris mucronata- Glade Blazing Star
Perennial growing up to 3 feet. Grows in full sun and medium to dry soils. Dense spikes of purple flowers bloom from August to September. The flowers are a magnet for butterflies and also attract ruby-throated hummingbirds. Tolerates drought and rocky soils.
