Prunus americana - Wild Plum

Small tree growing up to 25 feet. Grows in full sun to part shade and medium to dry soils. White flowers bloom in March to produce red edible fruits in the summer. Grows best in well drained soils. The species will sucker but they can be removed to manage a single specimen.
