Sassafras albidum - Sassafras

Tree growing up to 50 ft. Grows in full sun to light shade and dry to average soils. Blooms April to May. Male and female flowers occur on separate trees. Female individuals produce deep purple fruits that feast on them in the fall. Produces beautiful fall color.
