Desmodium canadense - Showy Tick Trefoil
Perennial plant growing up to 5 feet tall. Grows in full sun to partial sun and medium wet to medium dry soils. The species competes well with other tall vegetation and is valuable as a wildlife species. The purple flowers are visited by hummingbirds and a wide range of bees. Blooms from July to September.
